Fangxian Lu MD, PhD FACOG

Specialities- Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Lu is a board certified OBGYN, who has been practicing academic medicine for 7 years followed by obstetrics hospitalist for 3 years. Recently she started a new private practice where she is excited about providing excellent care to the women of the Houston/Stafford area and its surrounding communities. She is passionate about treating/following up with patients throughout the different stages of their lives and establishing long time relationships with her patients.
Dr. Lu was born and raised in China. After obtaining her Doctor Degree in Medicine at Fudan University, she came to the U.S. for her Ph.D. in UTMB. Her research was focused on the mechanism of the preeclampsia during pregnancy. Her work has been presented at many national and international conferences, obtained numerous awards, and has published several papers in peer reviewed journals.
Dr Lu is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a member of Texas Medical Association, Ford Bend medical society, and Chinese American Doctors Association of Houston, her clinical interest is pregnancy, birth control options, general gynecology and menopause, minimally invasive procedures and office procedures.
While she is not working, she enjoys running, watching movies, traveling, spending as much time as she can outdoors with her husband and two kids.
